Don't Miss: 'Have A Heart Dinner' To Benefit CAST

Funds raised will help Community Action of Southold Town to lend a hand to those facing an unexpected winter emergency.

GREENPORT, NY — Once again, a crowd of North Fork neighbors is expected to turn out to help their neighbors in need.

The annual "Have A Heart Dinner" to benefit the winter emergency fund of Community Action of Southold Town will be held Thursday at Peconic Landing, located at 1500 Brecknock Road, in Greenport.

The event features a three-course dinner including Caesar salad, meat or vegetarian lasagna with garlic bread, coffee and dessert. There are two seatings at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.; tickets cost $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. "This fund helps clients who are faced with an unexpected emergency that they don’t have the funds for. This could include emergency heat, electricity, car repairs, transportation needs, miscellaneous fees or a myriad of other situations that arise without warning," organizers from CAST said.
