Driver Slumped Over Steering Wheel Found With Heroin: Cops
A pair was caught with heroin after a bicyclist saw the driver slumped over the steering wheel, police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A pair was caught with heroin on Route 48 in Southold Saturday night, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 11:14 p.m. when a bicyclist called 911 to report the driver of a vehicle slumped over the steering wheel.
Responding officers found Britany Geremia, 30, of Shirley, in the driver's seat and Keith Herbs, 28, of Medford, sitting in the rear passenger's seat behind Geremia, police said.

Officers conducted an investigation and Herbs and Geremia were found to be in possession of heroin, police said, In addition, Geremia was found with illegal prescription medication, police said. Geremia and Herbs were arrested and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.
Herbs and Geremia were transported to police headquarters, processed, and held for arraignment, police said.
