Driver Under The Influence Of Alcohol Sped 99 MPH: Cops

He also had 10 license suspensions, police say.

MATTITUCK, NY — A Massachusetts man was arrested after he was caught driving while under the influence of alcohol and speeding 99 miles an hour in Mattituck, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Patrick McCann, 39, of Medford, MA was driving 99 miles an hour in a 45-mile per hour zone and was stopped for speeding at the intersection of County Road 48 and Shirley Road in Mattituck on Saturday at 4:54 p.m.. An investigation revealed that McCann was operating the vehicle with a suspended license — and had 10 suspensions on three dates, police said.

After being taken into custody, McCann was found to be intoxicated and charged with driving while under the influence, first offense; speeding; driving without a license; and second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said. McCann was processed at Southold Town Police headquarters and held for arraignment, police said.
