Drugged Driver Nabbed On Ferry Line: Cops
She was arrested while waiting on line for the ferry in Greenport Sunday, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Shelter Island woman was nabbed driving under the influence of drugs in Greenport, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place on Sunday at 5:20 p.m. on the line for the North Ferry in Greenport.
Jeanine Velasquez, 40, of Shelter Island, was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, police said.

Southold Police were investigating a report of a blue Chevrolet Cruze failing to maintain its lane of travel; the vehicle was located on the ferry line at the North Ferry terminal, police said.
Velazquez, the driver, was found to be impaired by drugs; she was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she was held overnight for arraignment, police said.
