Drugged Woman Caught Speeding Through School Zone: Cops
She was caught in the Mattituck school zone driving under the influence of drugs, police say.

MATTITUCK, NY — A woman was caught driving on drugs through a school zone in Mattituck, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, Jeanine M. Velazquez, 40, of Shelter Island, was arrested on Nov. 15 on Route 25 and New Suffolk Avenue at 1:19 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, a misdemeanor.
Velazquez was driving west on Route 25 in Mattituck and was observed failing to maintain her lane of travel and speeding through the Mattituck High School school zone, police said.

Velazquez was stopped, interviewed and found to be impaired by Suboxone along with other prescription medications and placed under arrest, police said.
Velazquez was transported to Southold Town Police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment in Southold Town Justice Court, police said
