Drunk Calverton Driver Caught Speeding On North Fork: Police

PECONIC, NY — A drunk Calverton driver was caught speeding on Route 48 in Peconic Monday, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Adam Chrzanowski, 36, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and speeding.

Chrzanowski was seen exceeding the posted speed limit as well as failing to maintain his lane, police said.

Chrzanowski was stopped and determined to be intoxicated, police said.

Chrzanowski was arrested, transported to police headquarters to be processed, and held for arraignment, police said.
