Drunk Driver Caught Speeding Without A License: Cops

The driver also had an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle, police say.

MATTITUCK, NY — An unlicensed Peconic resident was found speeding drunk with an open bottle of alcohol in Mattituck, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Rene Titi-Chamale, 27, was arrested on Jan. 12 at 8:33 p.m. after being found speeding and failing to maintain lane of travel along Route 48 and Sound Ave in Mattituck.

Titi-Chamale was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated: per se, no prior; DWI, first offense; speeding; driving without a license; drinking alcohol in a moving vehicle on a highway, and moving from lane unsafely, police said.
