Drunk Driver Cuffed In Greenport: Cops

He was stopped for a traffic violation, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A New Jersey man was cuffed after he was caught driving drunk in Greenport, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, John F. Wallace, 40, of Wyckoff, was arrested on April 12 at 6:51 p.m. on Route 25 and Albertson Lane and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Wallace was stopped for a traffic violation while operating a 2008 Jeep and found to be intoxicated, police said. He was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and held for morning arraignment, police said.
