Drunk Driver Nabbed In Peconic: Police
The driver was stopped for defective taillights, police said.
PECONIC, NY — A drunk driver was nabbed on the North Fork Wednesday night after being pulled over for defective taillights, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, Karol Filipkowski, 48, of Cutchogue,was arrested at 9:04 p.m. on Route 25 in Peconic after being stopped while heading east on the shoulder of the roadway with the defective taillights.
Filipkowski was found to be intoxicated, arrested, and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, police said.

Filipkowski was transported to Southold Town Police headquarters, processed, and held overnight for arraignment, police said.
