Drunk Driver Sends Car Crashing Into Brewery: Cops
After rear ending the first vehicle, the drunk driver then ran his car into a vineyard, police say.

PECONIC, NY — A Greenport man was arrested Monday after he rear-ended a car, sending it careening into a Peconic brewery, and then continued going and ran into a vineyard, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 1:57 p.m. on Route 25 and Peconic Lane.
Christian David McShea, 42,was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.

McShea was driving a tan 2005 Toyota Sequoia eastbound on New York State Route 25, in what witnesses described as an "aggressive manner," when his vehicle rear-ended a blue 2010 Ford Escape, subsequently sending the 2010 Ford Escape into the west-wall of the Greenport Harbor Brewery, police said.

McShea's vehicle continued eastbound on Route 25 and ran into a vineyard on the north side of the roadway, police said.

McShea was located on the side of the road by the vineyard and was later found to be intoxicated, police said.
McShea was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and transported to Southold Town Police headquarters, where he was processed and held overnight to await arraignment before the Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
While at headquarters, McShea was found to be in possession of un-prescribed Xanax bars and was additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
