Drunken Driver Fails To Yield At Stop Sign: Cops
He crossed over the double yellow line numerous times, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — An intoxicated driver was arrested after he failed to yield for a stop sign, police said.
Cesar Palencia, 69, of Greenport, was arrested on May 26 at 10:34 p.m. on Main Street in Greenport and charged with first degree operating a motor vehicle with .08 of 1% alcohol; driving while intoxicated, first offense; failure to stop at a stop sign; moving from lane unsafely; and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, Southold Town Police said.
Palencia was observed failing to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Front Street and Main Street in Greenport, police said.

After proceeding north on Main Street, he failed to maintain his lane of travel, crossing over the double yellow line numerous times, police said.
Palencia was stopped and upon further investigation found to be intoxicated; he was placed under arrest, transported to Southold Police Department headquarters, processed and held for arraignment, police said.
