East End Natives Graduate From Hofstra University

Several East End residents were among the 2,000 students who earned their undergraduate, graduate or law degrees from Hoftra University back in May.

The commencement ceremonies took place on May 17 and 18 at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

Among the local students who graduated include:

• Jonathan Polignani of Water Mill, who earned a Master of Science in Medical Physics.
• Laura Apicello of Jamesport, who earned a Master of Science in Medical Physics.
• Michael Malave of Wading River, who earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
• Andrea Ramdeen of Mastic, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.
• Priscilla Karpin of Hampton Bays, who earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Marlena Portocarrero of Hampton Bays, who earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Legal Studies in Business.
• Michael Ragone of Mattituck,who earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
