'Erratic' Driver Charged With DWI: Cops

He was also driving without a license, police say.

MATTITUCK, NY — A man was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 25 in Mattituck recently, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Noe Cruz-Corrales, 26, was arrested on Route 25 in Mattituck on May 26 at 9:43 p.m. and charged with aggravated DWI: per se no prior; DWI, first offense; drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway; failure to use a designated lane; and driving without a license.

A motorist called in a vehicle driving erratically; the vehicle was located and was observed driving onto the shoulder of the roadway several times, police said.

The vehicle was stopped and Cruz-Corrales was determined to be the driver; Cruz-Corrales was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest, transported to Southold Town Police headquarters, processed and held to await arraignment, police said.
