'Erratic' Driver Charged With DWI In Cutchogue: Police

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested after driving while intoxicated on County Road 48 in Cutchogue, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the incident took place on Wednesday at 2:28 p.m. John P. Hicks, 51, was arrested and charged with DWI, first offense, police said.

A call came in regarding an "erratic driver" on County Road 48; officers located the vehicle and found Hicks to be intoxicated, police said. He was arrested and transported to Southold Town police headquarters for processing and arraignment at Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
