'Erratic' Driver Hits Car, Charged With DWI: Police
The driver had already been reported and police were looking for him when they were flagged down by someone whose car he hit: PD.

GREENPORT, NY — An "erratic" driver reported to police Friday hit a car before he was arrested, authorities said.
According to Southold Town Police, Jose Alvizures Concoba, 53, of Greenport was arrested at 4:22 p.m. on Route 48 in Greenport and charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense; operating a motor vehicle with blood alcohol content of .08 of 1 percent, first offense; and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.
Police said they received a report of an erratic driver heading east on Route 48. While attempting to locate the vehicle a person flagged down a responding officer and reported that his car was struck by a vehicle that matched the description of the erratic driver's, and that the driver had left the scene, police said.

The vehicle was located and Alvizures Concoba was found to be intoxicated, placed under arrest, and transported to Southold Town Police headquarters for processing; Alvizures Concoba was held overnight to await arraignment at Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
