The Village of Greenport will host its first fishing tournament to benefit the Greenport American Legion Building Fund.
The event will start out with a reception on Friday evening at the Mitchell Park Marina Office from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
There will be a diner Saturday night at Hanff's Boatyard. Tickets are $15 per contestant and $25 per guest for the dinner.

There will be fly rod, heavy weight and light tackle divisions.
