Fire Breaks Out Near Town Transfer Facility: PD
The debris fire was extinguished by the Cutchogue Fire Department, police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A debris fire broke out in Cutchogue Saturday, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the fire was reported at 4:35 p.m. at Mattituck Environmental Services on Commerce Drive. The Cutchogue Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, which was contained to a pile of debris, police said.
No injuries were reported, police said.

The structure did not catch fire and was undamaged; the cause of the fire remains unknown, police said.
