Fire Breaks Out In North Fork Garage

PECONIC, NY — A garage fire broke out in Peconic Sunday, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, at 12:45 p.m. the structure fire broke out at a detached garage on Arrowhead Lane. Firefighters and police found the garage completely engulfed in flames, which spread through the yard due to fallen leaves, officials said.

The Southold Fire Department extinguished the fire without incident, police said. The Suffolk County Police Department's arson squad responded to investigate the origin of the fire, which is suspected to be electrical, police said.
