Fourth Annual Greenport Shellabration to Kick Off This Weekend

The 4th annual Greenport Shellabration will be kicking off this weekend.

The event, which is a restaurant walk featuring local shellfish, wine, and beer, will allow guests access to enjoy the very best culinary creations of Greenport’s leading chefs.

The “Shellbration” will take place across Greenport Village on Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6 from noon to 4 p.m.

Small shellfish plates will be available for $5 and local wine for $3.

For $20 each, wristbands will also get participants discounts and promotions at participating merchants throughout Greenport Village.

The wristbands will give guests a free glass of Greenport Harbor Ale, and a SPAT sponsored raw bar tasting of Clams and Oysters at the the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company located on 234 Carpenter Street or at Little Creek Oyster Company located on 37 Front Street Down Bootleg Alley.

All proceeds from the sales of wristbands will directly support the following efforts of Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Marine Program, specifically the Back to the Bays Initiative and the Southold Project in Aquaculture Training (SPAT).
