Free Coronavirus Antibody Testing In Greenport

The free testing takes place through Friday.

GREENPORT, NY — Free coronavirus antibody testing is available this week in Greenport.

The testing, which is presented in collaboration with Northwell Health, the New York State Department of Health, the Suffolk County Community Recovery Initiative and St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church takes place at St. Agnes R.C. Church's Parish Center, located at 523 Front Street in Greenport.

The testing takes place through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The tests are free but individuals must pre-register to be tested. To register, call 833-4CARENY or 833-422-7369.

The antibody test determines if a person has had a previous coronavirus infection; antibodies are proteins that fight off infections, organizers of the event said.
