Free Veterans Resource Fair and Food Distribution Unfolds Saturday In Southold
The Southold American Legion, Auxiliary and Long Island Cares are hosting the event, featuring more than 25 veterans service organizations.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A free Veterans Resource Fair and food distribution effort takes place Saturday in Southold.
The Long Island Cares Veterans Project and the Southold American Legion Griswold-Terry-Glover Post 803 and its Auxiliary will hold the Veterans Resource Fair and food distribution on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southold American Legion Post, located at 51655 Main Road (Route 25).
This is the first time these organizations are coming together at one event on the North Fork, organizers said.

The event will feature more than 25 Long Island organizations that offer services and programs specifically for veterans and active military personnel.
In addition, Long Island Cares Veterans Project will distribute free fresh produce to veterans provided by the Long Island Cares Farm Truck — and the first 200 veterans may pick up a free brown bag lunch prepared by Wayside Market, organizers aid.

Admission to the Veterans Resource Fair is free and open to all veterans and active military.
Individuals planning to attend are asked to register in advance by callling Justin Berbig at 631-583-3663 ext. 151. However, walk-ins will also be welcome.
