Friends Rally For Man Battling Cancer

GREENPORT, NY — The North Fork community is once again coming together to help a friend in need.

A benefit will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Whiskey Wind on Front St. in Greenport to benefit Dominick Colfer. The event costs $20 and includes live music, a buffet, and a 50/50 auction, with 100 percent of the profits to benefit Colfer.

"Come down to the Whiskey Wind Tavern for a great time, to benefit a great guy," organizers said. "Our friend Dominick was diagnosed with throat cancer roughly six months ago; he is currently undergoing chemo and radiation and needs our help. Dominick is a hardworking Irishman whom we love dearly, and we will do anything and everything we can to make this time of healing easier for him financially."

To that aned, a GoFundMe, "Funds for Dom," was also created by the Whiskey Wind Tavern in Greenport.
