Gas Leak Rupture Sparks Road Closure In Cutchogue

Main Road was closed for about an hour Wednesday, police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — Motorists noticed traffic snarls in Cutchogue Wednesday due to a gas leak rupture, police said.

According to Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley, the gas leak was caused by a company doing work on the old North Fork Bank on Main Road; Route 25 and New Suffolk Road were closed for about an hour.
