Greenport Man Caught With Heroin Upstate: Cops
A glassine envelope of heroin was in plain view in his vehicle, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Greenport man was arrested after he was caught with heroin in Livingston, NY, police said.
Mark A. Burnett, 30, was arrested on Sunday at 5 p.m. by New York State Police from the Livingston barracks and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.
Troopers stopped Burnett on County Road 19 in Livingston for a vehicle and traffic law violation and saw a glassine envelope containing heroin in plain view; during a a continued investigation, additional envelopes weighing approximately 0.7 grams were found, police said.

Burnett is due back at the Town of Livingston Court on Thursday, police said.
