Greenport Maritime Festival Canceled For 2020 Due To Coronavirus
The 31st Annual East End Maritime Festival has been derailed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

GREENPORT, NY — The popular Greenport Maritime Festival, like so many other events on the East End and across New York State, has been canceled for 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Sylvia Pirillo Greenport village clerk, the East End Maritime Festival, which was slated to celebrate its 31st year on September 19 and 20, has been confirmed canceled.
The event is organized by the East End Seaport Museum and Marine Foundation; the maritime festival is the organization's most important yearly fundraiser.

The cancellations follows a string of other events derailed by COVID-19, including the annual Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival, the Riverhead Polish Festival, Dances in the Park in Greenport, and many others across the East End.
