""The capital project that is about to get underway in Southold will have a far reaching impact." Southold Superintendent David Gamberg.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A groundbreaking will be held at the Southold Union Free School District Thursday to kick off the commencement of a $9.7 million capital improvement project aimed at shepherding the campus into a bright future.
Members of the Board of Education, school administration, PTO, students and community stakeholders will gather at 1 p.m. at the Richard M. Osmer Memorial Field, or Southold Schools athletic field, where renovations are set to begin this fall as Phase I of the capital project unfolds.
"The capital project that is about to get underway in Southold will have a far reaching impact for the students, staff, families, and community members of our school district," said Southold Union Free School District David Gamberg. "The enhancement of facilities throughout the campus is designed to promote the health and wellness of our students and community members, as well as promote learning opportunities designed to engage students to be well prepared for their future roles as citizens, ready for a lifetime of learning."
