Habitat of Suffolk Seeking Volunteers, Sponsors to Help Build Homes

Volunteers are needed to help build a home in Orient Point.

Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk is seeking volunteers to help build a home for a family in Orient Point.

No experience is needed to participate in build days, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but all volunteers need to wear closed-toed shoes.

Habitat of Suffolk is also looking for sponsors to help with the funding needed to complete the project. Any material or service donations would be appreciated as well.

Habitat Suffolk’s goal is to build an average of 12 to 15 houses annually, building for as long as needed to make sure every family in Suffolk County has a simple, decent and affordable place to live and call home.
