Haunting, Historical Graveyard Tours Kick Off On North Fork
The tours, which will feature actors in period costumes sharing the history of those buried in the graveyard, take place on Oct. 24.

NORTH FORK, NY — Just in time for Halloween, a popular event, "Historical Graveyard Tours," are set to commence on the North Fork.
The North Fork Community Theatre, the Mattituck-Laurel Historical Society and the Mattituck Presbyterian Church have teamed up again this year for the event, which takes place on October 24, with tours given between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.; a rain date has been scheduled for October 25.
Tour groups of a maximum of 15 people will be scheduled in 10 minute intervals. The tour begins at the North Fork Community Theatre and goes through the graveyard, where actors in period costume recount the life stories of historic figures who are buried in the graveyard.

The event is a joint venture of the Mattituck Historical Society, the Mattituck Presbyterian Church Graveyard restoration committee, and the North Fork Community Theatre; all proceeds equally benefit the three organizations.
