'Ice Fest 2018' Planned For Greenport Ice Rink
It'll be frosty fun for all as the event unfolds at the Greenport ice rink on Front Street.
GREENPORT, NY — A day of frosty fun for all is planned for the Greenport ice skating rink.
Greenport's Ice Fest 2018, a fundraiser for the ice skating rink, will take place on Saturday, Jan. 20, and will include a short program with "diverse and fun" events, organizers said.
A weather date is planned for Jan. 27.

The schedule for the day follows:
4 p.m.: Opening remarks / words of welcome.

4:05 p.m.: Figure skating performance by Alex Vinash and friends.
4:10 p.m.: Greenport Celebrity Relay Race featuring Trustees Jack Martilotta and Doug Roberts, Mindy Ryan, Chatty Allen, and New York State Assemblyman Tony Palumbo, as well as guest emcees Greenport Village Mayor George Hubbard, Jr. and Greenport Village Clerk Sylvia Pirillo.
4:20 p.m.: A performance by "Figure Skating Harlem."
5 p.m.: Greenport Youth Hockey Club game.
"Thanks to all our friends and partners, and especially The Friends of Mitchell Park and the BID," organizers said.
