Iconic Martha Clara Vineyards Sells For $15M
The iconic "Big E Farm" and Martha Clara Winery will sell for $15M, the 2nd highest priced sale in North Fork history, Corcoran Group says.

NORTH FORK, NY — The iconic Martha Clara Vineyards and the North Fork's "Big E Farm" has been sold — the property sold for $15 million to the Rivero-González family, a prominent Mexican wine producer, according to the Corcoran Group.
The deal was handled by Corcoran’s agent Sheri Winter Clarry.
The Rivero-González family is from Parras, Coahuila. María Rivero, CEO of the acquisition, commented on the sale: “The Rivero-González family has 15 years of experience in the Mexican wine industry and is excited about this acquisition, which will help the members of the family expand their interests beyond Mexico. Likewise, the Riveros are willing to work with the local community in order to encourage and enhance the legacy of the former owners of Martha Clara Winery in a successful way.”

The sale of the “Big E Farm" — as the property was called under previous owner Robert Entenmann of the famed Entenmann’s Bakery family — will be the second-highest in North Fork history, a release said.
The 205-acre farm, containing the award-winning Martha Clara Winery, has 113 acres under vine. There are 15 buildings, including nine barns, a wine club gallery, event gallery, tasting room, culinary education center and thee cottages, as well as a manor house, the release said.

First Long Island Investors, the wealth advisor to the Entenmann family for decades, managed the sale process for the family. FLI’s CEO Robert D. Rosenthal shared his thoughts: “Martha Clara Vineyards is a part of the Robert Entenmann legacy and while we are sad to see it change hands, we believe this is appropriate for the family at this time and wish the new owners the best of luck with this gem of a property.”
The highest sale, a 135-acre estate, both sides also represented by Clarry, closed for $19.5 million in 2008, the Corcoran Group said.
