IGA Cashier Nabbed In Underage Drinking Enforcement Sweep: Police
There was only one store in Southold Town cited, police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — An IGA clerk was caught selling alcohol to a minor in a state police crackdown Wednesday, police said.
According to New York State Police, officers from the NYS Barracks in Riverside conducted an underage drinking enforcement operation in Southold Town.
Christopher J. Russ, 19, a cashier at the IGA supermarket on Main Road in Southold, was arrested and charged with first degree unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, police said.

The IGA was the only retail establishment cited for selling alcoholic beverages to an undercover state police officer in the sweep, police said.
