Intoxicated Driver Crashes Into Pickup Truck, Leaves Scene: Cops
After crashing into the truck and fleeing, he was located and arrested, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Greenport man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed into a truck and left the scene, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, Gerson Gonzalez Mejia, 19, was arrested at 1:11 a.m. on Saturday on Fifth Ave. in Greenport after he was involved in the crash.
Gonzalez Mejia's 2006 Volkswagen struck a parked and unattended Dodge Dakota; he left the scene and was later located by Southold Town Police officers, police said. Further investigation revealed that Gonzalez Mejia was intoxicated, police said.

He, arrested, charged, and transported to Southold Town Police headquarters, where he was processed and held to await arraignment in Southold Town justice court, police said.
