Intoxicated Man Crashes In 7-Eleven Parking Lot: Cops

He was also driving unlicensed, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Greenport man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place Friday at 8:54 p.m. in the parking lot of the Greenport 7-Eleven on Route 25 when Jaime Perez Gomez, 51, crashed his vehicle. Upon further investigation, Perez-Gomez was found to be intoxicated, police said.

He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, driving a motor vehicle without a license, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, and first degree operating a motor vehicle with .08 of 1% alcohol, police said.

He was arrested, processed and held for arraignment, police said.
