"It feels normal." A joyful crowd turned out despite frosty temps for the first Cutchogue St. Patrick's Day parade after a pandemic pause.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — Despite frosty temps and high winds, Irish eyes were smiling Sunday as the Annual Cutchogue St. Patrick's Day parade stepped off on Sunday.

The crowd was dressed in their best green, with even pets sporting festive garb. Friends and family were hugging, smiling, and reveling in being together after months spent apart due to the pandemic.

"It feels normal," one woman told Patch.

The parade, presented by the Cutchogue Fire Department and North Fork Chamber of Commerce, headed from the traffic light at Cox Lane, down Route 25, and ended in Cutchogue Village.
