Jamesport Woman Charged With DWI For 3rd Time In 10 Years: Police
Police say she was driving in a vehicle that was involved in a crash and that she had been seen failing to maintain her lane in Mattituck.
MATTITUCK, NY — A Jamesport woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated for the third time in 10 years Friday afternoon, police said.
Southold Town police said the crash took place at 1:04 p.m. on Route 25; police were dispatched to investigate a driver failing to maintain their lane in the eastbound lane, authorities said.
Officers located a 2019 Jeep Compass, which was involved in a crash, and initiated a traffic stop due to violations, police said.

Alexandra Schwab, 28, was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle; she was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; DWI, two previous convictions in 10 years, a felony; and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 of 1 percent, two priors, police said.
She was transported to Southold Town police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment, police said.
