Jamesport Woman Cuffed for Driving Drunk in Southold: Police

The woman was arrested at 7:49 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A Jamesport woman was cuffed after she was caught driving drunk in Southold Wednesday morning, police said.

Virginia A. Morlock, 57, was arrested at 7:49 a.m. on County Road 48 and Ackerly Pond Lane on Wednesday and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, police said.

Morlock was driving a 2012 Honda east on Route 48 near Peconic Lane when she was seen failing to maintain her lane, police said. Morlock was stopped by police and performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests administered, authorities said.

She was determined to be intoxicated, arrested, and transported to police headquarters for processing and arraignment at Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
