Kait's Angels Designer Handbag Wingo Coming Soon
The popular event honors the memory of Mattituck's Kaitlyn Doorhy and brings a crowd out every year in support.

NORTH FORK, NY — This August will mark four years since Mattituck's Kaitlyn Doorhy, 20, died while away at college — but for the many who love her, the pain of her loss remains achingly real.
But the community whose lives she touched have kept her memory alive and strong with Kait's Angels, a not-for-profit organization created to honor Kaitlyn's beautiful memory through acts of kindness.
One popular event organized by Kait's Angels, a Designer Handbag Wingo night, is set to kick off again this year on Friday, June 29; doors open at 5 p.m. and games begin at 6:30 p.m. sharp.

The event will be held at Macari Vineyards & Winery, located at 24385 Main Road in Cutchogue; tickets cost $35 in advance or $45 at the door and include admission, eight games, and a glass of wine. Tickets may also be purchased at Love Lane Sweet Shoppe, by clicking here, or by sending a check payable to Kait's Angels to P.O. Box 1081, Mattituck, NY 11952. Ed Macari's "Avelino Mobile Italian Cuisine" will be on the premises.
Proceeds will benefit Kait's Angels.

From the unthinkable, from the worst loss imaginable, seeds of love, family, friendship, and generosity have flourished, as the community continues to stand strong at fundraisers for Kait's Angels.
Events include the yearly Wingo Night, a Poker Run, and yard sales and other events to help members of the community in need.
Members of Kait's Angels perform "Angel Acts," working to pay Kait's love of others forward and brightening the lives of strangers with random acts of kindness.
A mantra of the organization is "Discover Your Value," urging individuals to follow Kait's shining example and live a life dedicated to good works.
Since the organization was formed, Kait's Angels has been spreading a message of love and positivity throughout the North Fork and beyond. Buddy Benches have been dedicated to East End schools to help fight back against bullying and help give children a safe place to go when they need a friend.
The Wingo event has become a celebration of Kaitlyn's life, held near her birthday, and always brings out scores of friends and loved ones who enjoy the fun, the dazzling display of designer bags and other gifts donated as prizes, and the shared love for, and memories of, a young woman whose legacy will live forever.
