MATTITUCK, NY — Holiday spirit was in the air Thursday night as a crowd turned out at East on Main in Mattituck for a "Stuff the Trailer" event presented by Kait's Angels to help make the season bright for local families in need.

The event, hosted by 101.7 The Beach included live music by Points East, a free buffet and wine tasting donated by East on Main and CWD Distributing.

Guests brought bags full of presents, including toys and a beautiful bicycle, to help stuff the iconic black and pink Kait's Angels trailer with holiday joy. Also donated were grocery gift cards, gas cards, restaurant gift cards, new socks and underwear, toothpaste and brushes, non-perishable food, monetary donations, and new shirts, shoes, and jackets in kids' and adult sizes.

August marked four years since Mattituck's Kaitlyn Doorhy, 20, died while away at college, but the community whose lives she touched have kept her memory alive and strong with Kait's Angels, a not-for-profit organization created to honor Kaitlyn's beautiful memory through acts of kindness— with all proceeds staying local to help those in the community in need.
