LI Woman Wakes Up To Find Strange Man In Her Bedroom: Police
He was touching her leg, police say.
SOUTHOLD, NY — A Peconic man was arrested after he reportedly entered a woman's bedroom while she was sleeping and touched her leg, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place on August 18 at 4:21 a.m. at a home in Southold. A woman, 68, reported two different incidents where the same man came to her house, police said.
Douglas Ramirez Bonilla, 28, was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation and criminal trespass, police said.

The first incident occurred at about 3 a.m.; the woman stated she was woken up by a person touching her leg, police said. When she woke up, she saw Ramirez Bonilla standing in her bedroom; he then walked out of the house and walked off in an unknown direction, police said.
During the second incident, the woman stated that she saw on her security camera that the same man was at her back window and appeared to be watching her, police said.

Through a police investigation, Ramirez Bonilla was identified; he admitted to both incidents, police said.
Ramirez Bonilla initially gave a false name to police before admitting to his real name — and, he also had an active bench warrant at the time of his arrest, police said.
