Little Shop of Horrors Leaves Audiences Thrilled

Riverhead Blue Masques Performances Achieve Great Acclaim

RIVERHEAD, NEW YORK (DECEMBER 2022) — The Riverhead High School Blue Masques recently astounded the Riverhead community with its spectacular performances of Little Shop of Horrors. The horror comedy rock musical by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman gave students the opportunity to show off their talent in four performances.

“These students are accomplished thespians who put on a truly magnificent show, attracting a large crowd for all four shows,” said Blue Masques Director Laura Nitti. “I am incredibly proud of them and all of the hard work they put into this show.”

In addition to their performances, the Little Shop of Horrors cast and crew hosted a meet-and-greet and stage tour after their Saturday matinee. This granted eager fans the opportunity to interact with their favorite characters and admire the amazing set constructed by the crew.

In celebration of their success, the cast and crew attended the Riverhead Rotary Pancake Breakfast together before their final show, the Sunday matinee. Students commended one another for their talent, dedication and exceptional displays of teamwork during the development of this production. From rehearsals to costume design to set construction to performances, the entire cast and crew showed exceptional commitment, and the Riverhead Central School District congratulates them.
