Loaded Handgun Found On Seat Of Man's Car: Cops
He did not have a permit for the loaded handgun, police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A man was arrested after a loaded handgun was found on the seat of his car in Southold, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, on March 19 at 10:10 p.m., Gonzalo Figueroa-Marroquin, 26, of Riverhead, was arrested on Route 25.
He was charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, police said.

Officers responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the location and, upon arrival at the scene, observed a handgun by the driver's seat of the vehicle, police said.
Figueroa-Marroquin responded to the location to remove the vehicle and he also identified himself as the owner of the vehicle, police said. He did not have a permit for the pistol, police said.

Figueroa-Marroquin was arrested, charged with possession of the loaded handgun, and transported to Southold Police headquarters for processing, police said.
