Local Artist Chosen To Feature Work At Exhibition For LI "Arts Month"
Greenport artist Hector deCordova is one of 12 Hispanic-American artists who work will be featured in the special exhibition.

A local Greenport artist has been chosen to be featured in an art exhibition at Bloomindale’s Furniture Gallery at Roosevelt Field as a part of Arts Alive Long Island - Arts Month.
Hector deCordova is one of 12 Hispanic-American artists whose work will be featured in the special HIspanic Heritage Month Exhibition, running through Friday, Oct. 26.
The exhibition is part of Arts Alive LI “Arts Month,” sponsored by the Long Island Arts Alliance (LIAA) and Bethpage Federal Credit Union, and is part of a month-long celebration of cultural events that take place across Long Island.

“I am a Puerto Rican brought up and educated on the continent with strong family and cultural ties to the Island. I am comfortable in both cultures and very aware that my Hispanic heritage has shaped me as an artist and as a person” deCordova wrote in a personal bio.
deCordova has his own studio on 538 Main Street in Greenport. His often works in either acrylic, watercolor or collage.
