Local Girls Dance In NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade: Video, Photos
Irish eyes are smiling as the girls show off their step dancing talents.
MATTITUCK, NY — Irish eyes are smiling as three local girls march in the 256th New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade Saturday.
Naomi Cichanowicz, 13, from Peconic, in a green dress, Katie O'Connor, 12, from East Moriches, wearing white and purple, and Chloe Phillips, 12, from Southampton, in the red and orange, are marching with the Irish Dancing and Music association of North America.
The girls are students at the My Pulse My Passion School of Irish Dance and Wellness Center in Mattituck.

"We are overjoyed and so proud at how far they have come," said mom Cynthia Cichanowicz.
The girls, along with six others from My Pulse My Passion have qualified to dance in the Worlds Championship held in Dublin, Ireland in October, 2018, she added. "The girls will be out and about on the Island performing to raise money to help get them to Ireland."

And if you didn't get a chance to attend the parade in New York to see the girls dance, it's not too late; they will be heading back immediately after to Riverhead for three additional performances, at the Birchwood at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and then at the Moose Lodge at 8:30 p.m. The girls will also perform at the Jamesport East End Emerald Society St. Patrick's Day parade and the Hampton Bays Hiberians St. Patrick's Day parades next Saturday, at 1 p.m. in Jamesport and 11 a.m. in Hampton Bays, Cichanowicz said.
