Man, 90, Charged In Love Lane Hit-And-Run: Police
He didn't know he'd hit the Long Island woman and drove away, police say.

MATTITUCK, NY — A 90-year old man was charged in a Mattituck hit-and-run Monday, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, Angelo Parathyras, of Mattituck, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury, a misdemeanor.
Parathyras was driving north on Love Lane and struck Linda Czech, 66, of Jamesport, as she was walking across the roadway to her parked car, police said.

Parathyras did not know he struck the pedestrian and drove away from the scene, police said.
He was later located and issued a summons, police said.

Czech was transported by Mattituck Fire Department to Peconic Bay Medical Center with a possible fractured hip, police said.
