Man Arrested After Forcibly Kissing Woman On North Fork: Police

MATTITUCK, NY — A Mattituck man was arrested Wednesday after he grabbed a woman's face and kissed her, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 2:32 p.m. on Route 25 in Southold. A woman, 67, reported that a man, 48, approached and was talking to her, then grabbed her face and forcibly kissed her, police said.

STPD units canvassed the area and located a man matching the description provided by the woman; the woman confirmed that he was the right person, police said. He was placed under arrest and transported to Southold police headquarters for processing, police said.
