Man Charged With Drug Possession After Early Morning Raid: Police
Authorities executed a search warrant after neighbors complained about illegal drug activity and foot traffic, police say.
GREENPORT, NY — A Greenport man was arrested and charged with illegal drug possession and intent to sell after an early morning raid at his home, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place on June 2 at 6 a.m. at a home on 3rd Street. Victor Colon, 48, was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/narcotic drug, intent to sell; two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/narcotics; and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, scales, police said.
The Suffolk County District Attorney's East End Drug Task Force, the Southold Police Department's detective division, a Southold Police K-9 unit, and the Suffolk County Police emergency services unit executed the search warrant at 229 Third Street in Greenport, police said.

The search warrant was in response to community complaints of illegal drug activity and foot traffic to and from the location, police said.
