Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Tree, Water Main: Police
The crash took place early Sunday, police say.
CUTCHOGUE, NY — A man was charged with driving while intoxicated Sunday after crashing into a tree and a water main in Cutchogue, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 4:20 a.m. on Route 25 when Edwin Claros, who was heading west, veered off the roadway and hit both.
He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 of 1 percent, first offense; and DWI, first offense, police said.
