Man Charged With DWI After Leaving The Scene Of A Crash: Police
He was arrested on Wiggins Street, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Greenport man was charged with driving while intoxicated after leaving the scene of a crash, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, Juan Garcia, 29, was arrested on Wiggins Street in Greenport on Feb 19 at 8:31 p.m. and charged with aggravated DWI, no priors, and DWI, first offense.
Garcia was driving a white 1988 Jeep Wrangler east on Route 25 in Greenport; a report of someone leaving the scene of a crash with a vehicle matching the description of the Jeep had recently been taken by Southold Town Police, authorities said.

A traffic stop was conducted on Wiggins Street and after an investigation, it was determined that Garcia was intoxicated; he was placed under arrest, transported to Southold Town Police headquarters, processed, and held for arraignment, police said.
