Man Charged With Felony DWI Found With Open Can Of Beer Under Seat, Sleeping Passenger: Police
He was caught swerving over the double yellow lines, police say.
MATTITUCK, NY — A Laurel man charged with felony driving while intoxicated in Mattituck recently had an open can of beer under his seat, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place on March 21 at 4:09 a. m. on Main Road.
Jimenez Hernandez Marvin Alejandro was arrested and charged with felony DWI, as well as unsafe lane change and having an open container, police said.

While on patrol, an officer saw a 2012 Volkswagen swerve over the double yellow and white fog lines multiple times on the Main Road in Mattituck, police said.
The officer initiated a traffic stop, identifying the driver as Jimenez Hernandez through his New York State driver's ID, police said.

A passenger, 22, was observed sleeping in the passenger seat and an open can of Bud Light beer was observed underneath the driver's seat of the vehicle, police said.
Upon investigation, Jimenez Hernandez was found to be intoxicated by alcohol, arrested, processed and held at Southold Town police headquarters for arraignment, police said.
A cab was called to remove the passenger from the scene, police said.
