Man Charged With Grand Larceny On Shelter Island: Police

The Hampton Bays man is facing a felony charge, police say.

SHELTER ISLAND, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with grand larceny on Shelter Island recently.

According to Shelter Island town police, Pawel B. Machunik, 48, was arrested on Oct. 5 at 7:25 p.m. and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, as the result of an investigation.

He was held overnight, arraigned in Shelter Island town justice court, and released on an appearance ticket directing his return at a later date, police said.
